- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 2 green onions chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp ginger grated
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
In a bowl, mix the flour and water to form a dough.
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
In another bowl, combine ground pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
Roll out the dough and cut it into circles (about 3 inches in diameter).
Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
Moisten the edges of the dough with water and fold in half, pinching to seal.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil.
Arrange the gyoza in the skillet and cook until the bottoms are golden brown.
Add a splash of water to the skillet, cover, and steam for 5-7 minutes.
