Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 hoagie rolls
  • Sliced provolone cheese
  • Giardiniera or sweet peppers

Instructions
 

  • Season the beef chuck roast with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the beef on all sides until browned (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  • Transfer the beef to a slow cooker.
  • Pour beef broth over the seared roast.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until tender.
  • Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks.
  • Toast hoagie rolls in the oven until golden.
  • Pile shredded beef onto each roll.
  • Top with provolone cheese and giardiniera or sweet peppers.
