  • 8 slices of bread preferably brioche or challah
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter for greasing the pan
  • Fresh berries for topping
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions
 

  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Arrange bread slices in the baking dish, overlapping slightly.
