Ingredients
  

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 2 green onions sliced

Instructions
 

  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sugar, ginger, and garlic.
  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the skillet.
  • Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
  • Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the sauce is glossy.
  • Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
